Updated: Feb 12, 2020

May all your days be filled with cherry bomb bliss balls.  I don’t even know where to begin with these other than, they are seriously next level tasty.

Cherries contain powerful antioxidants that help fight free radical damage & reduce inflammation in the body which helps prevent premature ageing, bolsters the immune system and benefits cell renewal.

As someone who has always had a little too much nervous energy if I dont burn it off in the day it stops me form sleeping at night.  This was until I discovered the power of sour cherries. They are thought to help increase the sleep hormone melatonin which promotes natural sleep.

Sour cherries are made up of anthocyanins & cyanidin that provide antioxidants & have an anti inflammatory response on the body. They are also thought to help protect against macular damage & help heart health. Their anti inflammatory properties make cherries an amazing post work out recovery food too.

Cherries are especially high in polyphenols & are a good source of beta carotene & vitamin C. They’re fiber rich & contain potassium. Bursting with so much goodness, I had to find a way to work them in to a recipe as the leading star of the show… and so the cherry bliss bombs were born.

They are made with a mixture of sour cherries, fresh cherries, cashews, flax, chia, dates (dates could be switched for protein powder/sweetener if wanted) and vanilla essence, and then coated in sugar free chocolate. For the final ‘cherry' on top, these bliss balls are incredible easy to make and taste luxuriously delicious!
