Ham and Cheese Omelette

Ham and cheese omelette

It's such a simple, yet tasty omelette!

It's a staple in our house and a great way to start your day, packed full of protein.

Eggs are a great way to start the day, as protein keeps you fuller longer and will help stave off any sugar cravings you might get if you are on a sugar detox.


2 large free range eggs

20g cheese

20g Ham

1 knob of Butter


Heat the butter in a non stick pan.

Whisk the eggs and pour into the pan.

Grate or slice the cheese and sprinkle onto the the top of the egg.

Tear the ham and add to the omelette.

Once the bottom of the omelette has cooked, flip the omelette in half, cooking both side for a few more minutes.


Here's how you make your omelette super light and fluffy.

Instead of finishing the omelette in the pan on the hob, once the bottom half of the omelette is cooked, remove the pan and place under a high grill.

This will cook the top side of the omelette and it will rise and come out light and fluffy.

Of course, you can throw whatever other ingredients take your fancy - try chopped spring onions, chopped peppers, mushrooms - whatever takes your fancy!
